Biodiversity is an integral part of our sustainability strategy. We recognise that healthy nature and rich biodiversity are essential preconditions for both our organisation and society as a whole. Together with climate and water, biodiversity plays a crucial role in improving our living environment, with the ambition of leaving it better than we found it.
Due to the nature of our activities, we always have a direct relationship with biodiversity. Our activities and value chain impact nature and ecosystems, while at the same time we depend on the ecosystem services that nature provides. Our vision is therefore twofold. On the one hand, we aim to strengthen biodiversity by reducing our negative impact and, wherever possible, making a nature-positive contribution. On the other hand, we use nature as a solution by responsibly utilising, enhancing and actively applying ecosystem services to the challenges we encounter in our work.
